These Plant-Based resins are a very good candidate for the replacement of conventional plastics foils and films currently on the market. It can be used in existing machinery and allows more energy-efficient production due to lower temperature needs. the Plant-based foils and films, GS-companies can provide, are all made from biopolymers, such as starch, polylactic acid (PLA), or a special blend of plant-based raw materials. Most compostable films are considered compostable at an industrial level, so aren’t suitable for home composting as you might think. Whilst they’ll still break down in a home compost environment, they’d take longer than in industrial conditions. But there are also home compostable and water dissolvable foils on the market.
